Watch NetFlix, Listen to Pandora and Access other Geo-Blocked Content Anywhere on Any Device with UnoDNS [REVIEW]

This is probably the longest product testing I’ve ever done here at RJMarmol.com but also undoubtedly the most rewarding on a personal level.  You see, I don’t normally immerse myself (for as long as this, which is almost 4 months) with products/services/apps that I review because I always want to maintain a considerable distance, so to speak — just to make sure my reviews aren’t biased in some way. But I have to tell you that this service had so much impact on my daily life that looking back now, I can’t believe I actually survived without it.

Friends, let me introduce you to UnoTelly!

UnoTelly is an intelligent DNS service that lets you stream online TV to your home, on any device and with high streaming speed, bypassing the geo-restrictions. In other words, it’s an online TV service that bypass geographic limitation. UnoTelly works with myriad devices and of course iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. UnoTelly lets its customers stream more than 70 geo-blocked streaming media stations. Some of them are Netflix(all regions), BBC iPlayer, HuluPlus, HBO Nordic, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, Lovefilm and Zattoo.

UnoTelly

What it means to us who live outside of the US or the UK is that we can now have complete, unbridled access to TV shows, movies and live events the way Americans have for many years now. Here’s a list of supported channels.

UnoDNS™ Channels

No longer are we ever going to feel like we’re living in the middle of an uncharted territory, deprived of content we’re actually ready and willing to pay for. I’ve always said there is no reason to pirate content these days because major improvements happened in the past years that paved the way to getting high-quality music, movies and similar content for a small price. It’s a shame when you realize how many people outside the US and the UK are ready and willing to part with their money for NetFlix/Hulu Plus/Vudu/Pandora subscriptions but can’t, simply because they’re in geo-blocked locations.

This is where UnoTelly comes in handy. You may have come across many other products/services offering similar access (I know I have and I’ve tried so many of them I lost count) but if your experience with these products are any similar to mine, I’m pretty sure it’s not been a very pleasant experience. You may have gotten through the proverbial US/UK  “gate” but the aisle’s too narrow you can hardly go through and actually access content. That’s probably because prevalent services use VPN which, based on my experience is painfully slow. Yes, you’ll get through NetFlix, but as soon as you press play, your content will be buffering ever so slowly you’d think you just got downgraded to a dial-up connection.

What makes UnoDNS different?

As its name implies, it is a DNS-based service, not your traditional VPN service. UnoDNS allows for faster connection for streaming video compared to VPN because unlike VPN and similar solutions, there is no “middle-man” between you and the content you are trying to access. You can stream directly from the streaming media station (ie. NetFlix, BBC iPlayer) with your FULL internet speed — no throttling of any kind, no speed loss. This means that if you’re subscribed to 5mbps with your internet service provider, that’s the speed you’ll be running at. Many VPN services, especially those that offer free-ad-supported services limit your speed that you can hardly enjoy decent streaming speed with VODs. Another wonderful thing about UnoDNS is that you can stream content on almost any internet-connected device (tablets, game consoles, Rokus, iPhones, Smart TVs etc.) at no extra cost. Most VPNs can only be used with your PC/Mac and additional devices require extra subscription cost. Also, there’s no bandwidth cap so you can stream as many HD movies as you want. For the security risk-averse: you can count on their SSL Secured 256-bit Encryption which secures all transactions through “https” connection.

UnoDNS has also developed a unique feature called UnoDNS Dynamo that lets users switch between channels regions. For example, with a US Netflix account, you will be able to stream from any of the 10 regions of Netflix available (with the same account) .
Now, you might be thinking, “Yeah, well this sounds nice and all but how much would it cost me? And I’m not a very technical person, how hard is it to set up?”
Believe me when I say this: There are many things in the world that are hard to do. Setting-up UnoDNS is not one of those things. Anyone can do it. You don’t need to know some technical mumbo-jumbo to set it up. In fact, you’ll find it so easy you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t do it sooner! UnoTelly has UnoHelper — for the technophobics out there. Download UnoHelper, run it, log-in and forget. UnoDNS even has a no-nonsense and very thorough knowledge base that has every information you’ll need for when you ever get stuck. But I doubt you’ll need it if you do it right the first time.
How to Get Started with UnoDNS
1. Many people find it hard to commit to a service they haven’t tried yet. Thankfully, users can TRY UnoDNS Gold for FREE for 8 DAYS. UnoDNS Gold gives you access to all the DNS supported channels PLUS a bonus UnoVPN service to access any US/UK websites not supported by the DNS service yet.
With DNS + VPN users can use UnoTelly in any network they want including hotels and 3G/4G networks! Here’s how to set it up on Windows , Mac and other devices.
To use UnoVPN, log-in to either of these addresses:

US UnoVPN IP Address (Use this to access USA websites): us-pptp.unovpn.com

UK UnoVPN IP Address (Use this to access UK websites): uk-pptp.unovpn.com

After the free trial is over, a user must subscribe to either UnoDNS Premium for only $3.99/month (all supported channels but WITHOUT UnoVPN)  or UnoDNS Gold for $4.99/month to continue using the service. Details on comparative pricing + features can be found here.
3.  Create a US/UK iTunes account, if you don’t have one yet because you will need it to download UK/US channels apps on your iPhone.
4. Watch to your heart’s content! Remember, you still have to sign-up with NetFlix/Hulu Plus etc. to take full advantage of their content library. But it feels good to know you’ll have access to many free content from now on.
My Personal Experience:
Four months is a long time — and yet UnoDNS has never let me down, not once. I even use it when I’m out running errands, waiting in line. It’s a glorious service that I hope will just get better in time. My internet speed is at 2mbps or at 3mbps at most and it seems slow compared to what most of you probably have but there were very rare occasions of buffering wait-times and when it does take longer to load, it means 2 or more people are actually watching NetFlix all at the same time. But even then, it’s pretty decent.
And now, more than ever, I have come to appreciate online TV watching, VODs and livestreaming live events because I’ve recently ditched our old cable TV provider. The withdrawal stage seemed difficult to get over with at first but my subscription to NetFlix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime/Video etc. made it bearable and even surprisingly better. No longer do we have to drink that Kool-Aid of bundled programming offered by our cable TV provider especially now that it’s become littered with ads anyway. We don’t have to choose the less awful between 2 to 80 awful shows because now, we only watch what we REALLY want, ANYTIME we want on ANY DEVICE. Ala-carte programming truly is wonderful. Is it more expensive in the end? If you subscribe to more than one content provider: yes. Is it worth it? Yes, yes, yes!
But you see, no matter how good online TV is, no matter how much money we’re willing to spend for this kind of service, none of this would be possible without a reasonably-priced, highly reliable and easy to use DNS service like UnoDNS. It bridged the gap between a previously left-out potential subscriber and geo-blocked content providers. They get my money, I get the content I really want. Everybody wins.
Do I recommend UnoDNS? Absolutely! If you’ve been searching for this kind of product/service all this time, why not give UnoDNS a try? It just might be the last DNS service you’ll ever need.
Enjoy watching!

  1. Hi there. All this is new to me and I am trying to catch up w technology. I’m glad I stumbled upon your blog, maybe u can help me sort things out. I just purchased a smart tv and I am wondering what kind of cable+Internet service I need to subscribe to. It now seems to me that all I really need is a high speed internet connection (Pls correct me if i am wrong and how fast is “fast” anyway?).

My next question is, which content providers to subscribe to? There’s Netflix, Hulu, etc, etc but because I’ve always had the impression that it’s all only accessible to people in the US/UK, I never bothered learning abt them. Now w UnoTelly they all suddenly become a relevant option? The only downside I see is that I need to maintain different accts. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks in advance for shedding light on the matter.

  2. Netflix now catches if I have DNS redirection or on a proxy which renders UnoTelly moot. I just stumbled upon it yesterday.

About Me
Cecilia Regina Aquino Blanquera Marmol aka RJ Marmol profile picture

I’m RJ Marmol — writer, musician, and independent creator based in Manila.

I write songs, essays, and books about the messy overlap between money, overwhelm, creativity, identity, and rebuilding. Much of my work circles around what happens when life stops feeling manageable — and how we try to think clearly, make decisions, and keep moving anyway.

I’m also the author of Rebuilding Under Debt: Thinking Clearly When Everything Is a Blur, a nonfiction book published under Steady Hand Press. The paperback edition is listed under my full publishing name, Cecilia Regina Aquino Blanquera.

On the music side, I release work as HeyRJ. On the writing side, this site is where I gather my books, essays, notes, and whatever I’m building next.

Music

HeyRJ is my sonic soul project. I create raw, minimalist-style and deeply personal music interpretations that feel like a late-night conversation with your truest self.

By blending lo-fi acoustic textures with poetic honesty, my work explores love, loss, grief, healing, and the quiet in-betweens of life. Each song is a letter — a journal entry — a gentle companion for when the world feels too loud or too quiet.

While my catalogue began with intimate cover renditions, my work is increasingly being shaped by original writing, drawing from years of poems, lived questions, and emotional survival.

“Stuck Home Syndrome” released on March 20, 2026 is my first original 20-track album written during a period when time felt compressed and days began to blur into each other. The songs came from sitting with thoughts that had nowhere else to go — unfiltered, repetitive, and sometimes uncomfortable. It’s a concept album that isn’t built around singles or polish. It’s closer to a continuous inner monologue, recorded with minimal production and very little ornamentation and meant to be listened to as one cohesive body of work. The goal wasn’t to resolve anything, only to document how it felt while it was happening.

On May 29, 2026 I released new original singles – “Rapturous”, “Uh Huh”, “Look At You”, “All That” and “Blew Print”. I continue to release both original and cover songs and intend to so for as long as I can so check back every once in a while — you might. just find something you’ll like.

Rebuilding Under Debt: Thinking Clearly When Everything Is a Blur

A nonfiction book about what debt does to the mind — and how to begin functioning again when financial stress has made everything feel blurred, urgent, and overwhelming.

Rather than treating debt only as a financial math problem, the book explores the emotional and cognitive realities of financial distress: shame, decision fatigue, avoidance, panic, relationship strain, and the difficulty of making sound decisions while mentally depleted.

Published under Steady Hand Press. It’s available worldwide in ebook and paperback formats on Amazon. Bookstores and libraries can also be order it wholesale via Ingram.
