Dear Friends,
Greetings!
The struggle for the passage of the Reproductive Bill (RH) in Congress rages on. The Reproductive Health Advocacy Network (RHAN) through our org, the Democratic Socialist Women of the Phils. (DSWP) initiated an online petition that we request you to support by attaching your signature. Please go to this site:
http://www.PetitionOnline.com/rhan2008/petition.html
We hope to gather ONE MILLION SIGNATURES to show our legislators that there is a wide support base for the bill’s passage despite what the opposition says. We will present the signatures both to the House of Representatives (HOR) and Senate within September as we are waiting for the schedule of plenary deliberations in the HOR and the release of the Senate Committee on Health’s report.
Please support the petition. It will not take more than 5 minutes of your time. More than 10 women die daily due to pregnancy and childbirth-related causes. The big bulk of those who die are poor women at the prime of their lives. This is simply unacceptable and must be stopped. Congress has the power to do this. Kindly forward this mail to all your friends.Thank you very much.

  3. Hahahahaha… There is only one phrase needed in this conversation “management of post abortion” – as in there will be abortion…That is against the Catholic and Muslim faiths that form the basis of the Philippines’ morality… against the Constitution… and against scientific fact that life begins at conception.

  4. […] constitution (as compared to the BJE  MOA). I’ve said this before and I will say it again. Let’s support The Philippine Reproductive Health Bill. If you are indeed PRO-Life, I am sure you have an idea of what “life” actually is. […]

I fully support this bill! The church’s argument that this bill is pro-abortion is a load of BS. Use of a condom prevents the union of egg and sperm (not to mention it prevents spread of a multitude of viruses including HIV). Thus, even the definition “life begins at conception” fails -> no union of egg and sperm means no conception and therfore no life. And how can you abort (i.e. terminate a life while in gestation) when there is no life to start with?

    1. @John Philip Lim: thanks for the support. we must increase public awareness in order to secure more support, though. this bill — like any other bill, if enacted into a law, is only as good as its implementation, so that’s what concerns me most. and i’ve read the bill and i see nothing about abortion being promoted or condoned. closed-minded people will always find fault in things they don’t believe in. the debate will continue and i couldn’t care less if it does. i am after the results — economic and social. and while i respect each person’s choice and belief, i see nothing wrong with the bill. thanks again and best regards to you! :)

  7. Dear Brothers and Sisters,

    Pax!

Let’s DO NOT be encouraged about what the Philippine Legislature is campaigning, that is, legalizing the IMMORALITY of SEX even it’s outside the wedlock and preventing the production of life.

They are destroying the existence of NATURAL LAW. They are making the youth of this generation, as well the future ones, to be engaged with sex without thinking and considering the DIVINE LAW, also, becoming impudent to their parents and the society.

Will you mind the possibility of “SUING your parent’s in the court because you are GUILTY of pre-marital sex, in the very young age, when your parents become aware of it and get disappointed”- can you imagine the irrationality of these lawmakers, as well the Department of Health who pursue this immorality, an evidence was when they gave condoms last Valentine’s Day?

Be awaken and be enthusiastic! Law of GOD is the SUPREME LAW, if the law of man intervene, the DIVINE LAW will PREVAIL!

About Me
Cecilia Regina Aquino Blanquera Marmol aka RJ Marmol profile picture

I’m RJ Marmol — writer, musician, and independent creator based in Manila.

I write songs, essays, and books about the messy overlap between money, overwhelm, creativity, identity, and rebuilding. Much of my work circles around what happens when life stops feeling manageable — and how we try to think clearly, make decisions, and keep moving anyway.

I’m also the author of Rebuilding Under Debt: Thinking Clearly When Everything Is a Blur, a nonfiction book published under Steady Hand Press. The paperback edition is listed under my full publishing name, Cecilia Regina Aquino Blanquera.

On the music side, I release work as HeyRJ. On the writing side, this site is where I gather my books, essays, notes, and whatever I’m building next.

Music

HeyRJ is my sonic soul project. I create raw, minimalist-style and deeply personal music interpretations that feel like a late-night conversation with your truest self.

By blending lo-fi acoustic textures with poetic honesty, my work explores love, loss, grief, healing, and the quiet in-betweens of life. Each song is a letter — a journal entry — a gentle companion for when the world feels too loud or too quiet.

While my catalogue began with intimate cover renditions, my work is increasingly being shaped by original writing, drawing from years of poems, lived questions, and emotional survival.

“Stuck Home Syndrome” released on March 20, 2026 is my first original 20-track album written during a period when time felt compressed and days began to blur into each other. The songs came from sitting with thoughts that had nowhere else to go — unfiltered, repetitive, and sometimes uncomfortable. It’s a concept album that isn’t built around singles or polish. It’s closer to a continuous inner monologue, recorded with minimal production and very little ornamentation and meant to be listened to as one cohesive body of work. The goal wasn’t to resolve anything, only to document how it felt while it was happening.

On May 29, 2026 I released new original singles – “Rapturous”, “Uh Huh”, “Look At You”, “All That” and “Blew Print”. I continue to release both original and cover songs and intend to so for as long as I can so check back every once in a while — you might. just find something you’ll like.

Rebuilding Under Debt: Thinking Clearly When Everything Is a Blur

A nonfiction book about what debt does to the mind — and how to begin functioning again when financial stress has made everything feel blurred, urgent, and overwhelming.

Rather than treating debt only as a financial math problem, the book explores the emotional and cognitive realities of financial distress: shame, decision fatigue, avoidance, panic, relationship strain, and the difficulty of making sound decisions while mentally depleted.

Published under Steady Hand Press. It’s available worldwide in ebook and paperback formats on Amazon. Bookstores and libraries can also be order it wholesale via Ingram.
