Mi-Pow MACA Colour 2200mAh Rechargeable Power Case for iPhone 4/4S Unboxing Video/Review
Mi-Pow MACA Colour 2200mAh Rechargeable Power Case for iPhone 4/4S Unboxing
I’ve been using the Mi-Pow MACA Colour 2200mAh Rechargeable Power Case for iPhone 4/4S since December 18, 2012 and yet I haven’t uploaded my unboxing video until now. So here it is, for those who are mulling over getting one.
Performance
Regarding actual performance, it performs well within my standards for a decent rechargeable power case. Connected to WiFi and 3G 24/7, running videos and audio, browsing the web incessantly and compulsively checking social networks, taking photos and videos — all these and more for 2 straight days (that’s iPhone 4S battery + MiPow MACA, results may vary per user/phone depending on actual use). But it does take longer to charge because it needs to be plugged for at least 4-6 hours if you want to make sure you won’t run out of juice as you go out and about the offline world.
Weight
It is heavy. And bulky. So if you can’t make that sacrifice or you carry your iPhone in your slim pocket most times, this rechargeable power case isn’t for you. You need to get the slimmer version MACA Air Color Power Case, which they claim to be the “slimmest iPhone 4/4S case”. But you’d have to be ready to trade fashion/pocketability and comfort for lesser juice because unlike the MACA 2200mAh, the MACA Air has a capacity of 1200mAh only. As for me, function comes before fashion.
Design
It’s been designed to blend well with your iPhone and its plastic sides makes sure it doesn’t obstruct Sir Ive’s chamfered edge design but it does cover the Apple logo at the back. Because it’s thicker and heavier, it’s not really a joy to hold for hours but like I said there are trade-offs. But hey, it comes in various colors! Green / Grey / Gold / Navy blue / Black / Red / Purple / Light Blue.
Other Specs
Output Current: 500mA
Capacity: 1200mAh
Cell type: lithium-polymer battery
Cycle life: 500times
Operating Temperature: -10 – +45℃
DC Charging Time: 4 – 6hours
Dimension: 127 x 61.6 x 13.3mm
Weight: 105g
Avaliable Color: Green / Grey / Gold / Navy blue / Black / Red / Purple / Light Blue
Verdict
I love it and I recommend both the MACA Colour and the MACA Air. If you’re an iPhone power use like me, you’ll love it too.

Starbucks Philippines 2013 Planner and Pen Unboxing Video
Well, what can I say? Turns out I got the Starbucks Philippines 2013 planner (and pen!) after all! I’d say it’s more because of my little boy Emilio who advised me to “finish what I start”. I already had 8 stickers when I felt like I’m not as driven as last year.
Since, it was @iomarmol‘s idea to get the planner anyway, I thought he should do the “unboxing” video below. Please ignore the side comments. He talks A LOT. Even then. Also, he adores “Michael Riquez” aka GMA-7′s “Mike Enriquez”. :)

Yup. It’s so real, it’s like that annoying co-worker that stalks you and interferes with your life 24/7. :)
