Find My iPhone Ver 2.0.1 now comes with driving directions to device location

Probably in response to the rise in iPhone thefts and careless night outs that end up in lost or misplaced iPhones, the latest update to Apple app “Find My iPhone” now comes with driving directions to device location. Lets just hope your iPhone don’t travel by plane and you should rest easy that reunion is always possible.

Update now. iOS 6 or later supported.

Facebook for iPhone updated to include ‘tagging’ feature

Facebook has just updated its iPhone app (version 3.5) which now supports ‘tagging’ feature in posts and added privacy control on posts much like how Google+ works (privacy is determined on a per-post basis).

Here’s a preview of the new update:

Now, you can ‘tag’ your friends on posts (like it’s been possible for a long time on the desktop).

Tagging friends on the comment field, however remains unsupported with the app. Continue reading Facebook for iPhone updated to include ‘tagging’ feature

Google+ iPhone app now supports ‘resharing’

The recent update of the Google+ iPhone app is a welcome development to people who mainly use Google+ via their smartphones.

The ability to ‘reshare’ posts straight from the app has always been a feature I’ve hoped for since the app first came out.

Now, not only do you get to comment, +1 and create your own posts, you also get to ‘reshare’ posts from your stream.

See snapshots below of how it’s done: Continue reading Google+ iPhone app now supports ‘resharing’

The COMELEC domain which will house all canvassing results for this year’s synchronized national and local automated elections is now up but data is limited to precinct level. It hasn’t been tallied on a municipal level yet but you can do your own tally by adding up those of the precinct level.
In recent reports, the COMELEC is said to have adopted Senator Chiz Escudero’s proposal to hold posting of election results until at least 20% of the votes are tallied to avoid ‘trending’.
As of last update, instead of waiting for 20%, the COMELEC will wait for at least 20,000 votes to come in before they publish the result online. This will be updated real-time as votes from the precinct and municipal levels come in.

BMI or MARINA? Does It Even Matter? I Say NO!

Blogswarm by: cybercritic on FlickrSulpicio Lines has a way of incurring my wrath as easily as I can blink my eye. Today’s news illustrates my point very well. “Complete madness and an unacceptable twist of fate” is what I will call this new strategy of theirs should it succeed, which I pray to God – do not. Okay, so Sulpicio Lines has managed to do their homework and do some reading on maritime laws, republic act 9295, which is the “rightful body to conduct the inquiry”…blah blah blah.
